As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and its unprecedented global impact, Art Düsseldorf is postponing its fourth edition until 2021, the exact date will be communicated in September 2020. The application deadline for galleries and exhibitors will therefore be suspended until then.

“A realistic estimate of the best possible time for the next edition of Art Düsseldorf is only possible after the summer break due to the current planning uncertainty. In concrete terms, two dates would be conceivable for us: Spring or autumn 2021. The decision will be made in consultation with our exhibitors, collectors and partners in September 2020. Which date is the more suitable will depend on the further development of the pandemic. We hope that all our exhibitors, friends and partners will overcome the crisis well and, above all, in good health”.

Walter Gehlen, Director of Art Düsseldorf

At Art Düsseldorf 2021 around 100 established as well as young, regional and international galleries will show contemporary art in the spacious and light-flooded halls of Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf. Complemented by a selected presentation of significant large-scale sculptural projects, the fair positions itself in the region and in Europe as an art fair with international appeal and quality. With an exclusive preview Art Düsseldorf will open its doors in the halls of Areal Böhler for a professional audience of internationally renowned collectors, top-class institutions and curators as well as specialized art lovers.
