In two thematically linked series of talks, ART DÜSSELDORF invites its visitors to take part in a dialogue on topics at the forefront of the art business. All talks will take place in the talk lounge of the fair. The talk concept was created by Johanna Chromik in cooperation with Kathrin Lutz Communication.
GENERATIONAL SHIFT
RHINELAND CONNECTIONS – FROM THE RHINELAND INTO THE WORLD: People who have started their careers in the Rhineland and can be regarded as experts in their respective fields, meet to discuss how their careers have developed and what they want to pass on to the next generation. In each dialogue, two people from each sector enter a moderated discussion and exchange views across a significant age difference. These talks will cover their experiences, learning potential, and decisive decisions, but also cover their mistakes and missed opportunities.
BETTER TOGETHER?
NEW WAYS OF WORKING – THE ARTIST IS DEAD; LONG LIVE THE COLLECTIVE: New ways of working in the art world can mean new perspectives: more balance, more divergence, more synergies. And, at the same time, fewer privileges and less abuses of power. Solitary curatorial decisions are a thing of the past; collaborations, job sharing, and working in groups or as pairs are the new ways forward.
