The fair takes place from April 17-19, 2026

Applications open on September 2, 2025 and close on October 30, 2025
Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent to galleries during the week of November 24–28, 2025
Galleries placed on the waiting list will need to submit a new or updated booth concept. They will be informed by mid-January 2026 whether they have been admitted
To be eligible to apply, galleries must have been operating continuously for at least one year at the time of application. They must also have regular opening hours of at least 16 hours per week in their own premises with continuous exhibition projects (at least three exhibitions per year)
The fair is not open to individual artists without gallery representation, art advisors, art consultancy firms, online galleries, or providers of reproductions, replicas, art merchandise, calendars, posters, postcards, etc.
Auction houses may, under certain conditions, present themselves with special projects (e.g. estates) if they are not intended for sale but only for presentation

Yes, galleries may apply for multiple sections at the same time
Galleries applying for the NEXT section may present a maximum of three artists
For the MAIN and FRIENDS sections, we recommend the general rule of thumb of 1 artist per 10 sqm
Galleries applying for MAIN, NEXT, or FRIENDS do not need to submit a booth concept
Applications for PAPER or SOLO must include a short but meaningful concept
In general, we recommend all galleries uploading a booth sketch or mock-up
For galleries applying to Art Düsseldorf for the first time, a booth sketch is required
An independent jury of international gallery owners will review all applications and make the final selection
The jury will be announced in early September
Applications can only be submitted Online via the Art Düsseldorf website, starting on September 2, 2025
After a short registration, you’ll be able to complete, save, and submit your application online
Usually this does not take longer than 10-15 minutes
The application fee is €450 and is non-refundable
